Several celebrities walked the red carpet on day 1 of Cannes Film Festival. While some followed the new dress code, others broke the rules and wore glam gowns.

Halle Berry is no longer able to wear her Cannes opening night dress because outfits with long trains are banned from the red carpet.

Quentin Tarantino and his wife, Daniella Pick, arrived on the red carpet for the 2025 Cannes Film Festival's opening night on Tuesday, May 13. Tarantino is a guest of honor at this year's festival. The director and Pick first met in 2009 and married in 2018.

Eva Longoria was styled by Maeve Reilly. She wore a strapless rose gold beaded Tamara Ralph gown from the brand’s spring 2025 couture collection featuring a black velvet corset and exaggerated bow. She paired the gown with an 18-karat rose gold Aleluiá Collier and matching earrings with diamonds by Pasquale Bruni.
