Brad Holmes not sweating edge rush as 2025 NFL draft enters Day 3: 'We'll keep looking'
The Lions took Williams in Round 1 and believe he can be a three-down defender, but passed on — or didn't go up to get — a handful of imperfect but well-regarded edge players such as Mike Green, Donovan Ezeiruaku, Nic Scourton, Landon Jackson, Olu Oladejo and Josaiah Stewart on Day 2.

During Day 1, the Lions stood pat at No. 28 and added to the defensive line, selecting Ohio State defensive tackle Tyleik Williams. Holmes’ demeanor was clear. While he hears the chatter about the need for an edge rusher, the Lions simply selected players they love.
