Millions vote in NYC mayoral election as polls also open in Virginia, New Jersey and California
New Yorkers weigh in a mayoral race that has garnered national attention, while Virginia and New Jersey choose new governors.

New York City’s mayoral election is underway today as Democrat Zohran Mamdani, Independent Andrew Cuomo, and Republican Curtis Sliwa face off in the highly-watched race. The only two gubernatorial elections being held are in New Jersey and Virginia.
The governors race in New Jersey has tightened in the runup to Election Day, but Democrat Mikie Sherrill still maintains her lead over Republican Jack Ciattarelli.
