TIKTOK has released the Footnotes feature, a user-participatory fact-checking system. This feature is similar to X's Community Notes feature. " Footnotes draws on the collective knowledge of the TikTok community by allowing people to add relevant information to content on our platform ," TikTok shared in its newsroom on Wednesday, July 30, 2025.
