The Royals have placed All-Star left-hander Kris Bubic on the 15-day injured list with a rotator cuff strain and outfielder Jac Caglianone on the 10-day IL with a strained left hamstring.

The Kansas City Royals acquired veteran outfielder Randal Grichuk in a trade with the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday

Steve Gilbert was the first to break the news, during this evening’s game against the Pirates in Pittsburgh, tweeting “The @Dbacks have traded Randal Grichuk to the @Royals”. This was a little awkward, since Grichuk was actually in the line-up for the contest, though was quickly removed and replaced by Jorge Barrosa.
