Devils Defeat Kings 4-1
The New Jersey Devils (8-3-0) traveled to California to face the Los Angeles Kings (5-3-4) on Saturday night. Darcy Kuemper manned his net while Jacob Markstrom stood tall for the Devils.
The Kings remained winless in five home games (they won 31 of 41 last year) and snapped their seven-game points streak. The Devils won for the first time in three games but the ninth time in their past 11 affairs. Andrei Kuzmenko lit the lamp for the Kings. Darcy Kuemper mustered 18 saves.
Los Angeles (3-3-2, 8) beat Dallas 3-2 in overtime on Oct. 23, clinching it on Adrian Kempe's goal just 37 seconds into the overtime period. Kempe leads the Kings with four goals and seven assists in eight games. Former Predators winger Kevin Fiala has four goals for the Kings this season.
Lucas Raymond scored in the shootout and the Detroit Red Wings beat the Los Angeles Kings 4-3. Marco Kasper scored two goals, and Alex DeBrincat had a goal and an assist for Detroit.
After perhaps the wildest sequence of events they'll see all season, the Red Wings beat the Kings in a shootout late Thursday night.
