The release of the new models comes as OpenAI is under pressure to share inner workings of its software in the spirit of its origin as a nonprofit.

OpenAI’s latest artificial intelligence models available to customers, the first time the cloud computing giant has offered products from the leading AI startup. Amazon will offer the tools on its Bedrock and SageMaker platforms and said that their advanced reasoning capabilities make them suited for AI agents.

It’s the first such models it’s launched in over five years, as pressure in the US grows to respond to China’s dominance in open models.
