The 2025 edition of the annual vinyl event takes place April 12th, and as in years past, they've cued up dozens of exclusive releases catered to metalheads and hard-rock fans (in addition to the rest of the music world).

In a statement, Sam Fender said of his appointment: "It's a complete honour to be asked to be the ambassador for Record Store Day 2025. The importance of indie stores cannot be understated. Without them, we lose physical spaces for music fans to discover both their favourite new artists and to forge friendships with likeminded people.

This year's event, set for April 12, will include releases by David Bowie, Charli XCX, Wu-Tang Clan, Charles Mingus and several Harry Potter soundtrack albums.
