Nosferatu' filmmaker Robert Eggers is pretty much dead-set on not making a contemporary movie, saying the thought of it makes him 'ill.'

Eggers’ Nosferatu, a remake of 1922’s Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror, was a gothic tale of obsession between a haunted young woman and the terrifying vampire infatuated with her, causing untold horror in its wake. The film earned four Oscar nominations.

Director Robert Eggers has no interest in making a contemporary movie because the idea of filming a phone or a car makes him feel "ill".
