Cleanup continues in Skagit County after record flooding with more heavy rain in the forecast. BURLINGTON, Wash. — Cleanup efforts continued across Skagit County after last week’s record flooding, even as forecasters warned another round of heavy rain could push rivers higher again.

The Burlington Police Department and Skagit County Emergency management issued a city-wide evacuation this morning, after initial reports that the Slough, part of the Skagit River watershed, has jumped its banks. The City has nearly 10,000 residents.
