An investigation continues after a man was hit and killed by an Amtrak train in South Deerfield on Monday.The Northwestern District Attorney’s Office has confirmed that a 60-year-old man from South Deerfield died after being struck by a train in the area of Pleasant Street.

A train traveling from Washington, D.C. to St. Albans, Vt. struck a pedestrian at about 4:10 p.m. Monday at the Pleasant Street railroad crossing.
