Questions -- and, for some, outrage -- intensified over several of President-elect Donald Trump's cabinet picks Friday, as Washington awaits announcements for more major positions including the FBI and Treasury chiefs.

Experts say the president-elect, in pushing for recess appointments, is asking the Senate to abdicate its constitutional duty to confirm or reject executive branch nominees.

Several Republican senators have said they are not inclined to abdicate their "advice and consent" role in presidential appointments.
