To update Chrome, all you really need to do is launch the app and head to More > Help > About Google Chrome. The software will automatically start downloading and installing the updates.

Select Help Click About Chrome Chrome will automatically check for updates. If an update is available, it will download and install it. Click Relaunch to complete the update process.

Once this has completed, hit the restart button. The July 18 security update will bring your Chrome browser version to 115.0.5790.98 for Mac and Linux and 115.0.5790.98/99 for Windows.

Click " Help" at the bottom of the menu that pops up. Select " About Google Chrome." Chrome will automatically check for updates. Click on the " Relaunch" button to restart to install the updates.

Chrome is usually updated automatically upon rebooting the app, but you can also check for updates on your PC via the ellipsis menu and then clicking help > About Google Chrome.
