The project will, of course, be based around the hit 1991 animated film, Beauty and the Beast, as well as its live-action musical adaptation from 2017. Based on the beloved French fairy tale, both versions of the story follow a lonely young woman named Belle who becomes the unlikely captive of an enigmatic, beast-like prince.
