Fire personnel in eastern Arizona have spent the last week working to get control of the Greer Fire, which has burned over 20,000 acres since May 13.

The cause of the blaze that began May 13 was under investigation but had burned grass, shrubs and timber at a rapid pace.

Residents in Greer and South Fork have been ordered to evacuate their homes after the Greer Fire broke out Tuesday in the small eastern Arizona town.
