Bruins coast past Flames to begin homestand
The Boston Bruins scored twice in each of the first two periods and cruised to a 4-1 win over the visiting Calgary Flames to begin a five-game homestand on Thursday night.
Boston jumped ahead early and rolled past Calgary, 4-1, on Thursday at TD Garden. Joonas Korpisalo earned his first victory in almost a month. The Bruins (23-19-2) will host the Rangers on Saturday at 1 p.m.

BOSTON -- Joonas Korpisalo made 28 saves for his first win since Dec. 11, and the Boston Bruins defeated the Calgary Flames 4-1 at TD Garden on Thursday. It was Korpisalo’s first start since Dec. 27.
Boston was coming off victories in Edmonton and Vancouver that followed a six-game losing streak. A win in Seattle could’ve salvaged a 3-2 record on the trip, but four straight Kraken goals bridging the second and third periods ended the Bruins’ excursion on a sour note.
The Boston Bruins have announced that they have added defenseman Henri Jokiharju to their active roster. In addition, the Bruins also placed blueliner Hampus Lindholm on injured reserve (IR).
The No. 13 Boston College Eagles (11-6-1, 7-3-0 HE) men’s hockey team returns to Conte Forum for an exhibition game against the Stonehill Skyhawks (4-13-2) on Friday night. The Eagles are coming off a 1-1 record in the 2025 Kwik Trip Holiday Face-Off at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wis., from Dec. 28-29, 2025.
Morgan Geekie spent two seasons (2021-2023) with the Kraken before signing with Boston in July 2023. The 27-year-old forward leads the Bruins with 25 goals through 42 games. Geekie is skating on the first line with Elias Lindholm and Alex Steeves.
