If you want to catch some blood moon action, you’ll need to be up early on the morning of March 3. The lunar eclipse reaches totality at 6:33 a.m. EST, and the moon will be at its fullest all of five minutes later.
As of Monday, March 2, the Moon phase is Waxing Gibbous. According to NASA's Daily Moon Guide, 98% of the Moon will be lit up tonight.
In shaking up its Artemis lunar program, NASA's new moon plan looks more like the Apollo missions of the 1960s. Instead of landing on the surface on Artemis III, NASA hopes to do so on Artemis IV.
