Acme Fresh Market has set the opening date for its newest location in Medina. When the Medina store opens on Aug. 7, it will be the family-owned chain's 17th store and the first in Medina County.

Offering local and hyper-local, Medina-made items, Acme's Medina store is opening for the first time at 7 a.m. on Aug. 7.

An 80-year-old Akron man was struck and killed Wednesday evening in an Acme Fresh Market parking lot in Coventry Township, according to the Summit County Medical Examiner's Office.
