Autonomous sidewalk delivery firm Serve Robotics has initiated its operations in the Atlanta metropolitan region in partnership with Uber Technologies’ delivery platform, Uber Eats. The robots are embedded within the Uber Eats application for local eateries.

Uber Eats customers in Atlanta can now opt in to have their food delivered via sidewalk delivery robots, following partner Serve Robotics’s launch on Thursday. The move comes just two days after Uber and Waymo launched a commercial robotaxi service in the city.

The robotics firm will offer delivery to about 50,000 Atlanta residents as it continues expanding its partnership with Uber Eats.
