The Cowboys pulled off what many considered to be the steal of the draft's second round when they snared Boston College's Donovan Ezeiruaku at No. 44, a talented edge rusher who had 17.5 sacks in his final year in college. Ezeiruaku was seen by many as the preeminent pass rusher available after Penn State's Abdul Carter.

ESPN's Matt Miller has just cooked up a 2026 mock draft for the start of the week. For the Panthers, who are selecting from the sixth overall spot, Miller goes with Clemson defensive tackle Peter Woods.

Top of that list is Texas Longhorns linebacker Anthony Hill Jr. who Miller has projected to the New York Jets with the No. 4 pick. A former five-star recruit out of Denton Ryan, Hill was The Dallas Morning News’ top Dallas-area recruit in the Class of 2023.
