MARTA announced that work would start up again on its Five Points Station transformation project. Starting Saturday, May 17, several downtown bus routes will be detoured because of the project.

The Five Points Station connects riders to all four rail lines. In order to make room for construction equipment, bus riders will load and unload on Forsyth Street instead of Alabama Street.

The Five Points MARTA Station renovation project is moving forward once again after an agreement was reached between the city and MARTA, according to the City of Atlanta.

Starting Friday, more changes will occur as crews resume work. After June 6, Forsyth Street will be the only entrance to the Five Points MARTA Station, as the other three entrances will be blocked.
