The Razorbacks won, 3-0, as Gage became the first player to toss a no-hitter on this stage since Oklahoma State's Jim Wixson in 1960. Only a hit batter in the eighth inning separated Wood from a perfect game. Still, the timing could't have been any better as Wood closes out his Arkansas career and prepares for the MLB Draft on July 13.

Arkansas pitcher Gage Wood made history on Monday afternoon at the College World Series. He tossed a no-hitter in the Hogs 3-0 win over Murray State, the third pitcher to do that at the Men’s CWS and first since 1960.

Wood's 119th and final pitch was clocked at 97 mph, and Wood ran his fingers through the cursive letters over his chest, emphatically saying, "Arkansas" as the Razorbacks beat Mur
