Canadian wildfire smoke is again prompting a statewide Air Quality Alert with “unhealthy” air already across most of Minnesota according to the Pollution Control Agency. It’s also going to tie the longest stretch of unhealthy air in state history.

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency has extended an air quality alert for all of Minnesota through noon Monday, August 4, 2025. Surface high pressure will camp out over the region through Friday evening and will result in light winds and poor dispersion.
