The prime minister of Vanuatu has ordered the cancellation of a passport issued by the island nation to fugitive Indian businessman Lalit Modi, who is wanted by Delhi in a corruption case.

India-West News Desk NEW DELHI- Vanuatu has canceled the passport of former Indian Premier League (IPL) chairman Lalit Modi, citing concerns that he was using it to evade extradition to India.

Vanuatu is a small island country in the South Pacific Ocean. After Lalit Modi becomes a citizen of Vanuatu, the government will face more difficulties in bringing him back to India.
