The Las Vegas Raiders moved quickly to address the inside linebacker position after Robert Spillane took his services elsewhere this week. As originally broken by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Elandon Roberts agreed to a one-year deal with the Silver and Black.

While Roberts will not be the every-down linebacker that Spillane was, with more depth, that could be a net positive for the team. It hurt the Raiders' defense at times last seaso

Spillane's signing is notable due to his familiarity with new Patriots coach Mike Vrabel. Vrabel gave Spillane his first NFL opportunity, signing him as an undrafted free agent for the Titans in 2018 out of Western Michigan.
