Justin Verlander, who left Houston to sign with the Giants last offseason, has had a rough year in San Francisco and now an umpire is pointing it out.

Verlander’s incredibly tough start to his time with the Giants got worse Friday, when Verlander was handed another loss while allowing four runs in just 2.2 innings pitched. Two days later, as the Giants were in the process of getting swept, Verlander came back into the spotlight while sitting in the dugout.

Ben Verlander, a former Tigers minor leaguer, took to X on Thursday to vent about his brother’s bad luck this season. He posted during the Giants’ 13-0 defeat to the Phillies in which Justin allowed four runs (two earned) in six innings.
