T.J. Edwards and Rome Odunze were the Chicago Bears’ recipients of the Brian Piccolo Award, an honor that recognizes teammates who best exemplify courage, loyalty, teamwork and dedication.

The Piccolo Award is the most important internal award the Bears give out. It’s named for Brian Piccolo, a running back for the Bears from 1966 until 1969.

A list of all the past Brian Piccolo Award winners for the Chicago Bears as LB T.J. Edwards and WR Rome Odunze were honored Tuesday at Halas Hall.

The award is given annually to one Bears veteran and one rookie who best exemplify the courage, loyalty, teamwork, dedication and sense of humor of the late Brian Piccolo.
