Lyon confirms Paulo Fonseca

Olympique Lyon appointed Paulo Fonseca as their new manager, replacing Pierre Sage until June 30, 2027. "An experienced 51-year-old coach, Paulo Fonseca has built a solid reputation in Europe thanks to his numerous successes and demanding tactical approach," the French club said in a statement on Friday.
According to French sports daily L'Equipe, Textor has been in regular contact with Paulo Fonseca in recent years and could appoint him as a replacement for Sage. The former Lille coach has been out of a job since he was fired by AC Milan on Dec. 30.
