The Rogers twins era in the Bay Area has come to an end. The San Francisco Giants traded left-handed reliever Taylor Rogers, 34, to the Cincinnati Reds for right-handed minor-league pitcher Braxton Roxby.
After one year split between the San Diego Padres and Milwaukee Brewers in 2022, Rogers joined his twin brother, Tyler Rogers, in the Giants' bullpen. In 64 games last year, Rogers logged a 2.40 ERA and 9.6 K/9.
The Reds added an established arm to their bullpen mix on Wednesday, acquiring left-hander Taylor Rogers from the Giants in exchange for Minor League right-hander Braxton Roxby, a source told MLB.com's Mark Sheldon.
