The Kansas City Chiefs rely on starting offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor to keep pressure off star quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Taylor was listed on the Chiefs’ injury report this week ahead of Kansas City’s divisional-round playoff matchup against the Houston Texans on Saturday, January 18.
"The Chiefs are still struggling to generate big pass plays due to Mahomes being forced to throw the ball quickly," Teicher added. "Right tackle Jawaan Taylor is the third-most penalized player in the league with 17 penalties, and those penalties have been something the Chiefs have struggled to overcome this season."
Before kickoff, Mahomes was officially declared inactive for the game. So were six other Kansas City regulars: tight end Travis Kelce, running back Isiah Pacheco, cornerback Trent McDuffie, defensive end George Karlaftis, tackle Jawaan Taylor and defensive tackle Chris Jones.
