Apple announced several new features coming to WatchOS 26 at its annual software conference, WWDC, on Monday in Cupertino. The features touch everything from Fitness to Messages, and include a major design update across Apple's platforms for a more unified look and naming mechanisms that reflect the year the software debuts.

Unlike the iPhone, iPad, and Mac, the Apple Watch was already moving toward this new creative direction, so the differences aren't as obvious. However, Apple Watch users will still notice a few ways in which watchOS 26 is about to change the Apple Watch experience once it launches later this fall.
