On Monday at 5:18 p.m. an updated severe thunderstorm warning was released by the National Weather Service in effect until 6 p.m. for Marion and Winston counties.

Residents in nine Northwest and West Central Georgia counties are under an immediate Severe Thunderstorm Watch.

The National Weather Service released a severe thunderstorm warning at 6:06 p.m. on Monday in effect until 6:45 p.m. for Lamar County.

Another significant severe weather outbreak is forecast for Tuesday, March 10, and Wednesday, March 11, meteorologists warned.
