Aaron Rodgers has Justin Fields to thank for Steelers starting job
It appears that Aaron Rodgers owes New York Jets quarterback Justin Fields a thank you. According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, Rodgers is now the starting QB of the Pittsburgh Steelers, in part, because Fields decided to sign with the Jets instead of returning to Pittsburgh.
Rodgers joining the Steelers sets up several notable matchups in 2025 — including an early game against his former team.
