An NTSB-led investigation is in full swing to identify factors that led to the Jan. 29 midair collision between an American Eagle Bombardier CRJ-700 operated by PSA Airlines on approach to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) and a U.S. Army Sikorsky UH-60L Black Hawk helicopter.
What we know about American Airlines CRJ 700
Here is a photo of a standard PSA Airlines Bombardier CRJ700 series regional jet, from the American Airlines website. According to a brochure from Bombardier CRJ Series, the jet can hold up to 78 people. Per a flight manifest, American Eagle Flight 5342 from Wichita, Kansas had 60 passengers and four crew on board.
