Community mourns loss of Brazoria County Deputy Jesus Vargas after shootout
HOUSTON ( KIAH) — The law enforcement community is mourning the loss of Brazoria County Deputy Jesus Vargas. This is the first time a deputy from that department has been killed in the line of duty in 14 years. Vargas was part of a team that went to arrest Robert Lee Davis on an aggravated assault charge Wednesday.
Deputy Jesus "Jesse" Vargas was shot and killed while attempting to serve a warrant for Sean Christopher Davis' arrest.
