The U.S. Marshals Service said Friday that a convicted killer who was mistakenly released from a Georgia jail has been caught two weeks later in Florida — ending days of anxiety for the victim’s family outside Orlando who feared he might harm them over their role in the trial.

Guzman was mistakenly released from the Clayton County Jail on March 27, before he could be moved to prison. Clayton County Sheriff Levon Allen said Friday that disciplinary actions are pending for the staff responsible for it, and it may result in the termination of employees once the investigation is complete.
