It is not likely that anyone will be shedding a tear for newly minted Rockets star Kevin Durant as he heads into the final year of his contract, a deal that paid him $195 million in total and will give him $54 million in its fourth and final year.

On the outside looking in, the Rockets do appear to be one of the top contenders in the NBA. Alongside Durant, Houston has players like Alperen Sengun, Jabari Smith Jr., Amen Thompson, and Fred VanVleet in the starting lineup. They also have great depth featuring Dorian Finney-Smith, Clint Capela, Steven Adams, Reed Sheppard, and Tari Eason.

Eason has proven over the past few years to be a very good player for the Rockets, and the last thing the front office wants to do is get rid of him because of Durant, especially given how old he is. Despite that, ClutchPoints believes that the youngster could be a trade candidate throughout the year, noting the addition of Durant.
