A suspect was taken into custody and faces possible arson charges after an apartment fire in North Portland Wednesday morning, officials said. Firefighters arrived at the small apartment building on North Trumbull Avenue in the St. Johns neighborhood shortly after 6 a.m. to find police officers evacuating residents, Portland Fire & Rescue said.
