The Oakland County mom who is accused of abandoning her three children for years is expected to return to court on Thursday.

Welfare fraud over $500 is punishable by up to four years in prison and/or a $5,000 fine. Child abuse in the first-degree is punishable by up to life in prison.

Catherine Wolfe was arrested, after police say she provided false information to the Rensselaer County Social Services Office and unlawfully obtained more than $18,000 in public welfare benefits.

On April 7, 2025, Arroyo was arraigned in Troy Police Court before Hon. Christopher Maier on charges of Felony Grand Larceny 3rd degree and Felony Welfare Fraud 3rd degree.
