The Cubs and Mariners made Wrigley Field history over the weekend with three games full of homers from both sides.

USA Today's Bob Nightengale reported that the Cubs are "quietly preparing" to receive the 2027 All-Star Game. Nightengale said the upcoming announcement comes after Wrigley Field officially committed to upgraded security measures.

But Sosa had a tension-filled exit from Chicago, which led to his two-decade absence from Wrigley Field and the Cubs organization. In the final game of the 2004 season, his last in Chicago, Sosa arrived just 70 minutes before first pitch and left shortly after the game began, getting fined by the Cubs as a result.
