The zebra, named Ed, was safely recaptured in a pasture in Rutherford County. He was airlifted in a net and flown by helicopter to a trailer so that he could be returned to his owner, AP reported.

Zebra Ed was found Sunday in Christiana, days after running across I-24 in Rutherford County. A Texas aviation team helped return him safely to his owner.

The sheriff’s office said aviation crews captured the zebra. “Ed was airlifted and flown by helicopter back to a waiting animal trailer,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
