Troubling news emerges for the New York Rangers as a key forward unexpectedly exits the game with four minutes remaining in the second period. Key forward Filip Chytil left the Rangers' game against the Dallas Stars on Tuesday night with an unidentified upper-body injury and was unfortunately ruled out for the remainder of the game.

The New York Rangers entered the 2024-25 season with Stanley Cup expectations. The team played up to those expectations for about six weeks before slipping into a seemingly inescapable downward spiral.

The New York Rangers claimed the former Staten Island resident off waivers from the Los Angeles Kings on Monday, the club announced. The 23-year-old Kaliyev was actually born in Uzbekistan, but moved to the Island along with his family when he was just two-years-old. The right wing lived here for 11 years before moving to Michigan.
