Joel Embiid scored a season-high 39 points, Paul George had 23 and the Philadelphia 76ers beat the Indiana Pacers 115-105.

VJ Edgecombe added 22 points and five assists, Paul George added 23 points, six rebounds, and five assists, and Dominick Barlow had 10 points and eight rebounds. Quentin Grimes added 10 points, eight rebounds, and four assists.

Joel Embiid scored 39 points to lead Philadelphia and the Pacers fell apart down the stretch in a 115-105 loss.

The No. 3 overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, Embiid has had an unfortunate bout with injuries throughout his career. He missed the first two seasons of his career due to injury, and across the past two seasons he was limited to a total of only 58 games.

Paul George is starting to live up to the hype. Joel Embiid can still have lethal scoring nights. VJ Edgecombe is back to playing at a high level, and he could do more if the 76ers keep him involved throughout.

Now 31 and again attempting to work his way back to health, Philadelphia's superstar center is learning what he's still capable of.
