The wait is almost over. Virginia Tech is finalizing an agreement with former Penn State head coach James Franklin to be the next head coach of the Hokies, via Pete Thamel of ESPN.

Penn State is reportedly on the hook for far less money than initially thought with James Franklin.

Franklin is 104-45 in 15 seasons as a college head coach, three at Vanderbilt and 12 at Penn State.
