Recapping the 2024-25 bowl game slate for USA TODAY Sports on Monday, college football analyst Paul Myerberg listed Alabama as one of the year’s biggest losers in bowl season.

Alabama football was heavily favored and had every advantage in the ReliaQuest Bowl, and still flopped in a turnover-filled loss to Michigan.

One of the biggest storylines heading into the game was the status of starting left tackle Kadyn Proctor. Multiple reports stated that Proctor would not play for the Crimson Tide against Michigan, but Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer said during his Monday press conference that he "expects" Proctor to play.

Ohio State is the clear national title favorite after the way that they have dominated through the first two rounds. The Buckeyes easily handled Tennessee at home in round one, and then they dismantled one seed Oregon in the Rose Bowl last week.
