Starting the ninth inning with a two-run lead, Williams got Guardians pinch-hitter Kyle Manzardo to fly to left before Carlos Santana doubled to left-center. He then struck out Gabriel Arias before Daniel Schneemann bounced a single through the right side of the infield. That scored Santana, cutting the Yankees’ lead to 3-2.
