White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt joins “GMA” to discuss the White House’s message following U.S. strikes targeting Iran’s nuclear program.

The White House is pushing back on CNN reporting that President Donald Trump did not speak with Democrats before conducting a three-target attack on Iran over the weekend.

Iran’s foreign minister Abbas Araghchi is preparing to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin, saying he expected their conversation to “be in the interests of both countries”. Araghchi said late on Sunday night that he would have “serious and important discussions” with Putin in Moscow.

Israel announced more strikes against Iran’s military infrastructure, continuing its effort to degrade Tehran’s capabilities. Iranian state news agency IRNA said the capital city’s air defenses were operating throughout the night.

A fact-finding mission mandated by the United Nations said on Monday that some of Israel's strikes on Iran may have broken international humanitarian law, citing the killing of civilians in an apartment block and three aid workers in the capital Tehran.
