Israel's military targeted and killed five Al Jazeera journalists in Gaza on Sunday, including Al Jazeera correspondent Anas al-Sharif.

Israeli ground and air strikes have hit northern and southern Gaza, killing aid-seekers and those sheltering in tents and homes.

Seven people were killed in the attack, the broadcaster says, with the IDF saying it targeted Anas al-Sharif because he "served as the head of a terrorist cell" in Hamas.
