A cloudburst in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district has killed at least four people and left six others injured, just days after a similar disaster in Kishtwar claimed more than 60 lives.
Chositi, located about 90 kilometres from Kishtwar town, was among the worst-hit areas in the cloudburst disaster. A community kitchen crowded with devotees took the direct impact, as flash floods triggered by the cloudburst swept away multiple structures.
J&K CM Omar Abdullah, who reached Kishtwar via the Sinthan Pass on Friday evening, travelled by road to the affected village early Saturday morning.
