Following a fatal classroom stabbing, parents at Maryvale High School are concerned about student safety and an apparent lack of communication from the school after the incident.

Maryvale High School was one of two Phoenix Union High School District schools to pilot an advanced weapons detection system.

Chris Aguilar, 16, was charged with second-degree murder in the fatal stabbing of another student, 16-year-old Michael Montoya II.
